Natalie Anne Gulbis was born on January 7, 1983, in Sacramento, California. She is the daughter of Barbara Gulbis and John Gulbis. When she was just four years old, she developed an interest in golf. She won her first tournament when she was seven years old.
Gulbis attended Granite Bay High School and was on the boys’ golf team. later, she got a scholarship and attended the University of Arizona. However, she turned professional only after one season with the University of Arizona.
